Information We Collect About You
What Personal Information is collected?
When you register as a participant or sponsor on the Website or purchase products from The Bald Shop, we may collect certain Personal Information from you, including your name and email address. You also have the option of registering for the Website using a Facebook or Twitter account. When you register for the Website using an existing Facebook or Twitter account, we will receive certain information about you from Facebook or Twitter, including your name, profile picture, location, and other information you have made public on these services.
We may also collect Personal Information, such as names and email addresses, from you in order to share content from the Website with family and friends. For example, you might want to share your user profile with family and friends to encourage them to participate in Be Bold, Be Bald!
The Website may include areas, such as posting a “few bold words” to a user’s profile page or making an image using the Balderizer, where you can submit content, including posted comments and photographs. In order to submit a comment, you must submit your name. In addition, you have the ability to edit and add content to your user profile. The content of any submitted content is determined by you, but it may include Personal Information. Any communications or content you submit or post to any interactive features on the Website may be viewable by other users of the Website. Therefore, you acknowledge and understand that you have no expectation of privacy or confidentiality in the content you submit for such interactive features, whether or not it contains Personal Information about you.
When you visit the Website, we may also collect Non-Personal Information about you, which your web browser automatically sends whenever you visit a website on the Internet. “Non-Personal Information” is information that does not, by itself, identify a specific individual. Our servers automatically record this log information, which may include your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request, and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser (see description of cookies below).
We may collect information about your use of the Website through cookies and similar technology. A “cookie” is a unique numeric code that we transfer to your computer so that we can keep track of your interests and preferences and recognize you as a return visitor to the Websites. Cookie technology allows us to collect “clickstream” data, which is not Personal Information but which reflects your activities on the Website, including the pages you view. We may use the information collected by cookies for general statistical purposes.
How We Use Your Information
Any information you provide about others, such as email addresses you provide to allow the Website to send information about your participation in Be Bold, Be Bald! to family and friends, will only be used for the purposes of sending the communication you requested. This information will be deleted after these communications are sent.
Your Personal Information, including your email address, will also be used to allow you to communicate with others through the Be Bold, Be Bald! Website. For example, team captains can send messages to users on their team and participants can send messages to their sponsors. However, your contact information is not disclosed to the message sender; rather the Website generates an email message that is delivered to the recipients email address.

In the event of an emergency, or if we are legally compelled to disclose your Personal Information to a third party, we will make a reasonable attempt to notify you, unless we believe that doing so would violate the law or a court order, or pose a threat or danger to anyone, or where it would seriously impede the proper execution of our business operations. We also reserve the right to cooperate with law enforcement authorities in disclosing information for the purpose of (1) investigating and prosecuting users who violate our Terms and Conditions or engage in behavior that may be a breach of an agreement, illegal or harmful to us, our property, or others, or is a threat to U.S. homeland or national security, public safety anywhere in the world, or the conduct of international affairs, and (2) assisting such authorities in the administration of any law.
