I am a cancer survivor going bald for the 5th time to raise money for the UCLA Jonsson Cancer Center. When diagnosed in 2010 with stage 4 metastatic her2 positive breast cancer, there was one treatment for her2, herceptin, and it helped me stay in remission for 3 years.
My disease has unfortunately progressed, and there are now several targeted treatment options for me thanks to all the amazing research that has been done. This research can only be accomplished with adequate funds, and I want to do my part to raise money so cancer can one day be a thing of the past.
I go bald also in loving memory of my late aunt Sara and cousins Shelly and Terry as well as the many amazing survivors I met, and lost, to,this devastating disease since my diagnosis in 2010.
