The first time I had any kind of contact with anyone with Cancer was when my mom was diagnosed when I was just 14 with ovarian cancer. I didn't know much about cancer and didn't want to know much all I wanted was my momma after she lost her fight after only three months. I lost my grandmother to a form of brain cancer right after I graduated from high school.
Almost fifteen years later my husband's sister was diagnosed with breast cancer. Our lives were turned upside down when she lost her fight after three years. Several years ago my life was again ravaged by cancer when my grandfather was diagnosed with acute aml leukemia...he has lost the battle and we lost him in Aug 2012.
