Kristen Franklin's Story
My name is Kristen Franklin. I am excited to be part of such a worthy and FUN campaign. I was diagnosed with rectal cancer at age 35. I am participating on 10/22 to help all cancer patients.
Cancer has touched me personally, not only through my own diagnosis, but also through my father, grandfather and father-in-law. We need to fight hard against this disease and I want to be part of the fight.
My local newspaper the Asbury Park Press did a story on my participation with Go Bold, Go Bald. It ran in the paper on 10/12/10. I am visiting local businesses and the mall to ask for sponsorship. On the 22nd, I plan on going out all day. I will be shopping and going out to eat all day. That night, my friends and I are going to Friday's to have a few drinks and dinner.
I will be wearing my cap Sunday as I walk in the breast cancer walk in Point Pleasant NJ.
I cannot wait to be out and about on 10/22 to help support such an important fight!!
