Sign Up as an Individual

  1. Go to the Sign up page on the site
  2. Select "Join as an Individual". 
  3. You will the be taken to the main participant registration form. See step by step instructions for the participant registration form.

Start a Team

If you are interested in creating a Be Bold, Be Bald! team, follow the instructions below.  PLease note that the person that creates the team will automatically become the team captain, and have access to the team fundraising page, where you can invite others to join your team.

  • Go to the Sign up page on the site
  • Select  "Start a Team". You will be taken to a new screen.
  • New fields will appear where you must name your team. You also have the option to set goals for the amount of money raised and the number of team members to recruit. Click 'Continue'.
  • You will now be taken to the primary registration form, where you register as a participant/team captain.  View the step by step instructions for the participant registration form.

  • Join a Team

    1. Go to the Sign up page on the site
    2. Select "Join a Team".
    3. A drop down menu of all the teams will appear.  Select the name of the team you would like to join.
    4. You will now be taken to the primary registration form, where you register as a participant/team captain.  View the step by step instructions for the participant registration form.

    Sign Up Multiple People

    1. Go to the Sign up page on the site
    2. Select "Register Multiple People". You will be taken to a new screen.
    3. On the next screen, you are asked whether you want to start a team and add people to it, join an existing team and add people to it, or just sign up new people independent of each other. The basic process once you pick one of these options will be identical for each option. The 'start team' option just first asks you to pick a team name, while the 'join team' option asks you to pick an existing team to join. After you have completed these screens, you are asked to enter the personal information for the first user.
    4. Complete the participant registration form for each participant. (see step by step instructions for the participant registration form)
    5. When you have finished signing up users, you will be brought to another page where you can pay with a credit card or PayPal.

    Participant Registration (step by step)

    This is the primary registration form for all participants

    1. Part 1 - About You:  Be sure to complete all the required fields sp we know where to send your participation materials.  Also be sure to select a beneficiary for your fundraising efforts.
    2. Part 2 - Login Info:   This will be the username and password you can use to access your personal fundraising tools after you register.
    3. Part 3 - Personalized Web Page Link:  This is the link for your persona fundraising page, where you can send people to sponsor you for going bald.  NOTE:  if you are creating a team, you can also set up a personal team Web link here as well
    4. Part 4 - Participation Materials:  Select the  materials you want/need for the event.  We recommend getting the full participation kit as it includes a bald cap, t-shirt, poster and other materials. 
    5. Part 5 - Discount Code:  If you have  discount code, you may enter it here (primarily for student organizations)
    6. Part 6 - Make a donation:  You can start off your fundraising effort yourself by entering an initial donation on this page.
    7. Part 7 -  Set a goal:  Set your fundraising goal.  There are no minimum fundraising requirements, so aim high.
    8. Click 'Continue'
    9. Complete the payment information (Credit card or PayPal).
    10. The final screen allows you to enter a 'dedication' for your fundraising effort, such as 'In Memory of My Mother'. The dedication will be displayed on your personal fundraising page. Fill out these final fields and click 'Continue'.
    11. The final sign up screen confirms all of the information you have entered. Make sure to click 'Continue' one more time to finish signing up.
    12. After signing up, you will be taken to your personal fundraising page.

    Special Note for Participants from Last Year's Event

    If you remember your username/password from last year, you will be able to shorten the sign up process. When on the screen where you need to enter your personal information, click the link shown in the screenshot below, enter your username/password, and the majority of the form will be prefilled.
