Smile (Simply Making Isaac's Laugh Eternal), Inc. was founded in memory of Isaac Bode. He was a 16 year old who, even through his heart-wrenching battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) with a genetic translocation (17/19), continued to be quite the comedian and charmer he always was. Isaac was a role model and inspiration for all who knew him. He was the new kid's first friend and the kid being bullied's protector. Isaac appreciated the simple things in life. He loved to hunt and fish. Isaac was taken back by total strangers who would send him gifts while he was inpatient at VCH in Nashvlle, TN. Isaac said, "That's cool. When I get better, I'm gonna do this." Isaac's better now, with Jesus in Heaven, and so we are continuing his wish, through SMILE.
